It's All Banter

• VOTE for your favorite Star Wars stamp (to be issued on its own, separate sheet). We knew there had to be a reason behind this R2D2 promotion.
• Rex Libris, a graphic novel about a librarian (which, oddly enough, I've yet to read) is going to be made into a movie!!
• Runaways vols. 1 and 2: Awesome. Vols 3-6 now direly needed!!
  
• Best sci-fi movies of all time: Serenity beat out Star Wars... go figure.
• Here's someone who actually reviewed TMNT. (Lazy me, I just post that we saw it and then go on my merry way.) I largely agree with his assessment... all in all, a fun and gorgeously-filmed movie that seemed like it could have been a bit... "bigger."
• The National Library Service, which records books on tape for the blind, is moving to digital audiobooks.
• Ursula Vernon makes it to the Library Journal list of new novelists to watch!

Sorry, Auntie K, about the news tease earlier... All three news items have been decided now, but all are as yet unofficial, and I'm reluctant to reveal them publicly here. Hmph. For those of you who have half an idea what I'm talking about, however, let me say this:
